Mission Muslim World University
MMWU is the largest program in the world with a Pathway to an MA degree in Ministry with an Islamic Studies Concentration. This year we were able to scale our online training school up to 426 national leaders from over 40 countries.
In 2022, We were able to give over 275 full scholarships worth over $1.3 Million to leaders from around the world. 150 of the scholarship students were regional leaders from Ghana. We also partnered with Southern Asia Bible College in Bangalore India to train 100 of their top Master’s Students.
This year a handful of students finished the entire MMWU program! This took two years of hard work. One of those students is Tomas Samuel, a former Hafiz Muslim who came to Christ. Tomas wrote his MMWU Master’s thesis defending the Trinity against Islamic polemics. This paper is very unique and now he is a Ph.D. candidate at Rice University under Dr. David Cook who is one of the foremost scholars of Jihad Theory in Radical Islam.
Students who complete the first MA-Level course become certified trainers in the Every Muslim for Christ Global Network. This equips them to multiply and scale the training throughout the national churches. We believe MMWU students who become certified trainers will play a vital leadership role in mobilizing the national churches in each country to finish the Great Commission Among Muslims.
100 MMWU students ran training in over 30 countries using the i2 Ministries video courses and mobilized others into evangelism among Muslims. (see the slideshow below)

The WISE Global Phone Application
The WISE Global is a ministry management system that helps churches, denominations, and missions organizations launch and track the progress of a prayer, training, and evangelism Initiative. We have been working on this mobile and web-based technology since 2017.
The WISE Global is a ministry management system that helps local churches, denominations, and missions organizations launch and track the progress of prayer, training, and evangelism initiatives. We have been developing this mobile and web-based technology since 2017.
This year we updated all of our front-end code to newer software libraries, creating a faster and smoother experience for our users, plus implementing several significant backend security updates.
Also, the app now includes a brand-new leaderboard with many exciting features. Each user gets to choose to opt-in or out of participating in the leaderboard. In addition, participating users are assigned an anonymous username and decide whether or not to display their profile picture, country, and achievements.The leaderboard is based on a points system of app user engagement in prayer, training, evangelism, and discipleship activity. Users can even earn special badges for specific achievements!
These 2022 technology development achievements add more security and promote greater user engagement, ultimately providing greater mission fulfillment.
The Ghana 4 Christ Initiative

i2 Ministries launched a national initiative across all 16 political regions of Ghana, seeking to mobilize 27,000 churches into a prayer, training, and evangelism initiative to reach Muslims for Jesus.
We partnered with the Ghana Evangelism Committee (GEC) to recruit top leaders from 16 denominations into the initiative. A strategic ministry plan was rolled out to train 400 national leaders equally located in the 16 political regions of Ghana. The goal is for all 400 leaders to become i2 Ministries certified trainers who would then train and mobilize the local churches into prayer, training, and evangelism among Muslims.
- To date, 150 top leaders are mobilized from all 16 regions into the initiative.
- We enrolled these 150 leaders into the MMWU scholarship program worth over $1,300,000.
- Around 50 of these leaders have already finished the training and have become certified trainers.
- They have begun training and mobilizing local national churches into the initiative.
- They are using the WISE app to organize the initiative and coordinate the evangelism efforts.

The Launch of MMWU Arabic
MMWU now has online Arabic MA-level courses in Christian Missions to Muslims and Islamic studies! In 2022, we set out with an ambitious goal to begin an Arabic program that would mirror its English counterpart. i2 Ministries has had Arabic video training for over ten years, but this was the first time the content was packaged into a formal online school with an Arabic-speaking facilitator running the program. The students work through the self-paced curriculum, including video lectures, books, articles, handouts, surveys, forums, and tests. They also meet together live online several times per month.
The fully developed Master’s level courses in Arabic currently are:
- Islam’s Issues, Agendas, and the Great Commission
- Christian Apologetics to Islam
Tomas Samuel and his wife Nancy are leading these courses and have enrolled over 50 students from all the MENA region into the program. Tomas is a former Hafiz Muslim from Egypt who had a radical conversion to Jesus. Before Tomas came to Christ, he had a TV show broadcast across the Middle East where he did Dawa (Muslim evangelism), targeting Christians. When Jesus appeared to him in a series of dreams, Tomas went on a deep intellectual journey studying world religions, philosophy, and Christian Apologetics. He radically came to Christ, and God is using him in powerful ways to lead the MMWU Arabic Program.
NEW URDU & ARABIC COURSES FOR THEWADI.ORG
The World Apologetics and Discipleship (WADI) has over 250 hours of free on-demand video courses with over 20 professors teaching Christian Missions to Muslims and Islamic Studies.
Mission Muslim World University is a Master’s level leadership development program created for the top leaders of each country. However, the vast majority of Christians cannot go through that level of training, so we also have thewadi.org, our free on-demand training that can scale a national movement and is available in 16 languages. These courses are robust enough to prepare people to share the Gospel with Muslims but take just a few hours to complete.
In 2021, we recorded a new video course on Church Planting among Muslims with Dr. Mike Shipman. Shipman saw a verified movement of over 250,000 Muslims come to Christ in Asia based on bold gospel proclamation in the post-Pentecost missions pattern shown in the book of Acts. This course, “the Strategy of New Testament Missions,” has quickly become a favorite among those we train, resulting in bold and fruitful evangelism in the first conversation and multiplying churches even in areas considered hostile to the Gospel.
This year we were able to dub this course into Arabic and Urdu and deploy it on thewadi.org and within the WISE Global phone application.
